“ Ladies, grab your flapper dress and long string of pearls ... Browns is oozing with 1920s style charm and grandeur and reminds me of a giant Victorian summerhouse that wouldn't look entirely out of place in an episode of Downton Abbey. There's lots of large leafy greenery, dark wooded furniture and waiters in cute long aprons. There's a definite 'outdoorsy yet indoorsy' vibe to the place which I really love and which sets Browns apart from so many other places. I've been here quite a few times - for food as well as just for drinks - and have been equally pleased with both. There is a decent cocktail selection - the Bellini is a personal favourite - I think it was about £6, so not exactly 1920s prices but far from a rip off either. ”

Well, the drinks can be on the pricey side but not if you play your cards right(no Brucie in sight). Go on a Wednesday when signature cocktails are half price. Yes indeedy less than 4 squid for a quite divine fruit martini. If it's good enough for Bond... ”
“ Browns hosts a wonderfully grand setting...marble, polished golds, mirrors and a grand piano...It is a refined area for a champagne cocktail or two and a classy meal. The food quality was very good when I visited and I would gladly pay to have the meal over again. I enjoyed the setting and was not rushed to finish my meal. Staff were very polite and table service was good after the initial wait for a table. It is a beautiful setting and I don't quite understand why anybody could not be enchanted by the surroundings. Cost seems to be the main issue to visitors of Browns, maybe it would be wise to check the menu before entering. I will definitely be re-vising in the near future. ”
“ This browns is really nice and a great place to come eat or for a drink. I went with a colleague when staying in leeds for work and we had a really nice meal. I had mussles and then salmon - both of which very tasting and good value. The decor and atmosphere was really nice, i would definitely go back. ”
